What should we wear?

Families do not need to match, but you should try to choose similar colors from the same palette and avoid different patterns, and small stripes. Solid colors and timeless clothing designs such as white dresses for girls and button down shirts and jeans or khakis for boys will leave the emphasis on your child. Babies are most often best photographed in their birthday suits! Bare feet are always best, nothing dates a photo faster than ever-changing shoe styles, so when in doubt, go for bare feet.

What is your style?

I prefer to shoot using natural light in simple settings. I love to find beauty in the spontaneous and unexpected. There's nothing like capturing a wistful glance, or a deep belly laugh on camera. I will never tell you to "say cheese," I'd rather let the scene unfold as you feel comfortable. I usually let your children get comfortable in front of the camera by simply letting them play or run around and then start clicking away. How long does a session take/how many photos do you take?

There are no time limits but you can expect your session to take anywhere from 1-2 hours. I take as many photos as I possibly can to ensure that you get the best possible photos from your shoot.

How long will it take you to get our pictures online?

Your edited pictures will be finished 2-4 weeks from our shoot date. I immediately upload your pictures onto my computer (and then back them up to be safe) the moment I get home, and start the editing process that evening. A few days after your shoot, I will send you a link to some album 'teasers' which are 10-15 edited photos to hold you over until the rest of your album is complete.

Can you turn our photos into black and white?

Yes! I shoot everything in color (unless you specifically ask me for only black and white) and can change photos into black and white, sepia, and a variety of other tasteful color blends during the editing process.

How do we order our prints?

I have partnered with Zenfolio, an amazing printing and photo hosting company that uses top quality processing for your photos. Once your gallery is online, you can take your time going over each picture and decide which ones you would like to purchase and add it to your cart. You can choose how many reprints you want, and which photos to enlarge. Some clients find it helpful for me to be involved in this process. We can go through the pictures at your home and I can offer some advice regarding the placement of your enlargements. We can arrange all of this once your online gallery is ready for viewing.

Can our family and friends buy prints from you as well?

Absolutely! Just forward them the link to your gallery and they can purchase as many prints as they would like.

Can you make us an album?

Yes. I can make a variety of different albums for you. Please inquire either at the consultation or after the shoot takes place.

Do you shoot weddings?

Yes! I can customize a package to meet any bride and grooms needs for their special day. I typically have a second shooter with me to ensure every moment is captured from all angles. Please contact me to go over pricing options and details.
